Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes of Safari West? Join one of our very knowledgeable Behind the Scenes Guides for an hour-long peak into what lurks beyond the barn doors. Imagine peering down the hall of our giraffe barn and giving treats to the majestic creatures towering above you, or pet a giant porcupine and feel the quills? How about a visit with our African Warthogs Lulu, Zeus and Miss Piggy, or feed some treats to our exotic birds?

All animal encounters are based on availability and dependent upon animal behavior.

Cost: $225 for 2 people. $50 for each additional adult, $30 for additional children. There is a maximum of 6 people for this package.

Gratuity for your guide is included in the cost for the Behind the Scenes wild encounter.

Times:

Morning: 7:00 - 8:00 AM

Late afternoon: 4:00 - 5:00 PM during the winter months (5:00 - 6:00 PM during daylight savings time)

Good to know: These special encounters are based upon availability and need to be reserved before your arrival! Please understand we can only schedule a few of these animal encounters a day, therefore, we may not be able to accommodate your request.
