We would like to say thank you to the thousands of firefights and their families involved in our community. Thank you for your faithfulness in protecting us and fighting this most recent Valley Fire.

In the last few months, Sonoma and Lake Counties have seen more record-breaking wildfires than at any point in recorded history. While Safari West itself was lucky not to be in the path of the Valley Fire, it brought tremendous trauma and heartbreak to our neighbors and friends. Nothing drives home the gratitude we all feel toward our firefighters quite like seeing their fight come so close to our very doorstep. With the recent Valley Fire and the luck we had in staying out of its way fresh in our minds, we’d like to extend our profound and heartfelt thanks to the courageous firefighters who stood and continue to stand between us and this ferocious fire season.

With the Valley Fire now on the arduous road to recovery, we feel it’s time to prepare a more proper thank you to the firefighters and their families. Coming on November 15th, we’re putting together something special for those of you who stand up to fight back the flames. We know that our firefighters are someone’s husband, wife, brother, sister, son, daughter, dad or mom…and, we know that they will just tell you that they’re just doing their jobs. But, to us…they are heroes!
