Gather ‘Round the Fire
Safari West Campfire Chats honor and explore our species’ long history of gathering around a roaring fire. For as long as we’ve walked the earth, we humans have used fire as a source of sustenance, security, and the bonds of socialization. In our modern world, too many of us have lost touch with this ancient tradition. What better time to reconnect than during a visit to Safari West?
Arts, Crafts, and Legends
Safari West guide and anthropologist, Alex Coburn guides you through an evening of handicrafts and folklore sure to please children of all ages. Come together to forge new creations from materials found right here on property. Reflect on the wildlife encountered during your day as you and your family learn to create something new and amazing.
Campfires need stories so as the stars appear overhead, Alex regales the crowd with African folktales. Each evening brings with it legends of giraffes, cheetahs, and heroes galore. Add a cultural element to your zoological exploration and wind-down those excited kids at the same time!
Campfire Chats take place every Sunday from 8-9pm following Dinner Service and are available to all dinner and overnight guests.
Book your reservation at Safari West and we’ll see you ’round the campfire!
